Tuesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: SLX

he Market Vectors Steel ETF (SLX) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 284,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 55,000. Shares of SLX were down about 1.8% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Vale (VALE), trading off about 2.9% with over 13.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF), down about 4% on volume of over 6.9 million shares. LB Foster (FSTR) is the component faring the best Tuesday, higher by about 1.6% on the day, while AM Castle (CAS) is lagging other components of the Market Vectors Steel ETF, trading lower by about 5.9%.
