The iShares Core MSCI Total International Stock ETF (IXUS) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 7.1 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 110,000. Shares of IXUS were down about 2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Arcelormittal (MT), trading off about 4.4% with over 3.8 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Teck Resources (TCK), down about 4.1% on volume of over 3.6 million shares. Tekmira Pharmaceuticals (TKMR) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 2.2% on the day, while Southern Copper (SCCO) is lagging other components of the iShares Core MSCI Total International Stock ETF, trading lower by about 4.7%.
