S&P 500 Movers: CHK, FCX

In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (FCX) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 4.8%. Year to date, Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold has lost about 32.5% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Chesapeake Energy (CHK), trading down 6.6%. Chesapeake Energy is lower by about 51.0% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are United Technologies (UTX), trading down 6.1%, and CONSOL Energy (CNX), trading up 4.5% on the day.
