Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Gold Miners ETF (GDX), where 8,550,000 units were destroyed, or a 2.6% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of GDX, in morning trading today Goldcorp (GG) is off about 1.2%, and Newmont Mining (NEM) is lower by about 0.8%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the SPDR SSGA Multi-Asset Real Return ETF (RLY), which lost 1,101,111 of its units, representing a 21.6% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of RLY, in morning trading today SPDR S&P Global Natural Resources ETF (GNR) is down about 1.4%, and SPDR Barclays TIPS ETF (IPE) is lower by about 0.2%.
