The SPDR MSCI ACWI ex-US ETF (CWI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 837,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 176,000. Shares of CWI were down about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Alibaba Group Holding (BABA), trading off about 2.9% with over 21.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Vale (VALE), down about 0.1% on volume of over 10.9 million shares. Valeant Pharma International (VRX.CA) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 6.6% on the day, while Korea Electric Power (KEP) is lagging other components of the SPDR MSCI ACWI ex-US ETF, trading lower by about 3.9%.
