Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: SLX

The Steel ETF (SLX) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 240,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 35,000. Shares of SLX were up about 1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Vale (VALE), trading up about 2.4% with over 20.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and United States Steel (X), up about 1% on volume of over 9.4 million shares. Ryerson Holding (RYI) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 4.5% on the day, while Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF) is lagging other components of the Steel ETF, trading lower by about 0.8%.
