The Copper Miners ETF (COPX) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 138,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 49,000. Shares of COPX were up about 0.1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Freeport-McMoran (FCX), trading up about 1.1% with over 6.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Lundin Mining Corp (LUN.CA), down about 0.1% on volume of over 1.6 million shares. Imperial Metals Corp (III.CA) is lagging other components of the Copper Miners ETF Monday, trading lower by about 2%.
