S&P 500 Movers: FCX, GPS

In early trading on Thursday, shares of The Gap (GPS) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 2.4%. Year to date, The Gap registers a 20.8% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold (FCX), trading down 6.8%. Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold is showing a gain of 31.6% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS), trading down 4.0%, and United Rentals (URI), trading up 2.4% on the day.
